How do I send in my video tapes?
Mail your videos to Life's Moments Video Services (16603 - 93 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, T5R 5H9) with a completed Order form signed and dated. Life's Moments Video Services will process your order as soon as it arrives. We do recommend that you ship your tapes in a bubble wrapped package for greater physical protection. We do appreciate an e-mail indicating your order is being shipped. If you have any questions, you can call us @ (780) 628-2059 or Toll-Free at 1-800-583-2128.
Can I edit my video DVD after its procesed?
Yes. You will require DVD authoring software to import the DVD movie that was processed. If you know you will editing your home movie, for a nominal fee we can prepare another DVD disk at your request in MPEG or AVI format.
Do you process standard Movie Film reels?
No, due to film age, and special equipment required to handle these film movies, we have chosen not to process this type of media. We do not process the following standard film reels (8mm, Super 8mm, 9.5mm, 16mm)
Will my tape(s) be returned to me?
Yes, your tapes will be returned along with your finished DVDs.
What methods of payments do you accept?
We accept Cash, Cashiers cheque, and the following Credit Cards via the Internet Secure PayPal for Business:
What about shipping and handling?
All orders are typically shipped via Canada Post C.O.D. or through a national courier service. You will be emailed this tracking number when the shipment has occurred. The customer is responsible for all shipping expenses.
Will a DVD fix a distorted or flicking video tape?
No, the quality of your DVD is dependent on the quality of your original video tape.† We cannot greatly improve the quality of the video, but we can eliminate future degradation.†
I have digital pictures, can you create a DVD slideshow with music?
Absolutely. All we ask is for you to provide all backgroud music used and the order in which the photos will be played. Watching a DVD Slideshow from Life's Moments makes you feel like you are living your memories all over again. Utilizing the latest digital animation effects, we can produce a unique personalized movie you will treasure for a lifetime. Great for Wedding receptions and rehersal dinners, Birthday parties, Retirement parties, Anniversary celebrations, Valentine's Day, Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day, Family reunions, and Holiday gatherings.
What tape formats do Life's Moments process?
Beta, Digital-8, MiniDV, VHS, VHS-C, Hi-8, and 8mm videotape. We also convert overseas VHS, MiniDV, 8mm tapes and DVDs (SECAM, MESECAM, PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N) to NTSC.
Can my old beta video tapes really be moved to DVD?
Yes, we can convert your beta tapes to DVD. Standard pricing applies.
Can I get a rush order completed on my tapes?
Yes, Life's Moments can accomodate rush orders, however, additional charges may apply.
Do you convert DVD to VHS?
Yes, Life's Moments can convert DVD to VHS tapes.
How much video will fit on a DVD?
Up to 2 hours of high quality video from your tape. We may have to split the video onto two disks to preserve the quality.
How fast can Life's Moments process and turnaround the tapes?
Life's Moments generally ship completed orders five to ten business days after we receive them. If you have any questions, you can call us @ (780) 628-2059 or e-mail inquiries.
Can I drop my tapes off in person?
Absolutely. Please e-mail or phone (780) 628-2059 to arrange a convenient drop off time with our staff.
Do you edit video tape?
Yes, video editing services are available. Please call ahead or visit us for a custom quote. Our web prices apply to basic transfer services i.e. Digital transfer of your tapes, creation of menus, chapters, and personalized packaging.
Do you transfer PAL video?
Life's Moments can convert PAL or SECAM tapes and DVDs to NTSC DVD.† The standard DVD video transfer prices apply.
Will my tapes be kept confidential?
Yes! The contents of all your material is kept confidential.† At no time will any contents be disclosed to a third party.† All information, and data is wiped clean from our equipment after the warranty is expired and no additional copies are created.
How long will my DVD last?
A DVD can last for 100 years if handled and stored properly.† We do recommend you make a backup copy in case of disaster. You don't want to take any chances with irreplacable memories.
Will the DVD play on my computer?
Yes, your DVD will work in your computer if you have a DVD drive and DVD player software installed on it.
How do I know if my new DVD will play in my DVD player?
The DVDís we produce will play in 95% of all DVD players in the market.† However, there may be some less expensive or older models of players that may not comply with the DVD specifications.† DVD Player Compatibility list
